A National Master with a rating above 2250, Bilgen represented Turkey internationally as a young player and helped Millburn High School’s chess team win a national championship.

A love of chess, shared one student at a time.
Founded in 2015, Chess in Millburn Academy brings in-person and online chess education to families across New Jersey and New York.
In the community
More than a classroom.
Our coaches teach at Salt Brook Elementary School in New Providence and Deerfield Elementary School in Short Hills, as well as Wyoming, Glenwood, and South Mountain elementary schools in Millburn.
We have coached the Deerfield Chess Team since 2023 and host USCF-rated events where players can put what they’ve learned into practice.

Gensay Sazci
2500+ on Chess.com
Gensay competed in Istanbul before moving to Millburn. He helped Millburn High School achieve a New Jersey varsity team award and has taught chess professionally for years.
